For those of a praying disposition …

January 24th, 2010

I can’t find my passport.

Those who know me will be unsurprised to know I am flapping a bit. Argh.

[I know, I know, this is no better than a "find me a parking space" prayer. I'll retract it when I'm calmer]

Given what will make you calmer is finding your passport, I have no problem about praying for calm, and the means of inducing it!!

I prayed for my misplaced birth certificate to emerge, two days ago, as I was very un-calm!

You presumably had to show it when you started your new job? They haven’t still got it have they?
    Am praying nevertheless!

Thank you everyone, calmness has been restored (as has the passport) (along with my driving licence and marriage certificate that I hadn’t even realised were also not where they were supposed to be!). They were all in my professional portfolio (Jane was right, I had to show the passport, but also my certificates to prove that not only was I who I claimed to be, but also that I had the necessary bits of paper to qualify me for the job). Panic over, and I am suitably embarrassed now :)

Glad it’s been found and calm is restored.

I’ve had a lot of showing different bits of paper/ID to different people, and I’ve now put all of them into one file for now, as I’ll be doing it all over again shortly.

(My Birth Certificate turned up in the CRB/Disclosure Scotland file… I’ve enough of those to paper a medium size wall, I think.)

Oh dear, I just prayed and now I see it was answered before I prayed it. This is a Good Thing.

Glad they have only just turned up.
